Food Shortage

Knowing the population of the country, the Government needs to decide how much grains are needed per person per day to keep them all fed.  Once this is decided, the Government needs to know how much grains are being produced in the country. How much more farmland needs to be created.
Similar to the Milk revolution, new Farms should be huge tracts of land with mechanized farming to better the yield per acre.

The storage needs in different areas based on the population of that area.

Better ways of storing, to ensure no decay of food grains happen.

Here you will see how food grains and other perishables can be stored scientifically and delivered safely. Stocks stored initially get disposed first, and that brought in later at a later date. (FIFO system)
What is used to accomplish this is a simple Gravity Flow system.
Stocks enter from one end of the warehouse, and exit from the other far end of the warehouse.
By this procedure, no stocks can be damaged due to age, as all stocks get disposed timely.

Every warehouse in the country that is licensed to stock food grains must upload daily status of stocks held. Random checks will help verify the truth. This will ensure No hoarding or Black Marketing happens. Food Ministry can direct movement of food grains to areas of shortage, and help ensure all citizens are fed.

The Water Crisis

There is a hue and cry on this.

The better way to conserve available stock is to ensure all Government and Commercial Offices have their Rain water harvesting Plants installed.

Only this harvested water is to be used to flush Toilets, Wash rooms etc.

Drinking Water if needed can be procured from Bottled dispensers.

This one act will help conserve and efficiently use this valuable resource.

Lightening the School Bag

This has been the worrying issue the last few decades.
Children overloaded with books and other materials, that cause them to hurt their spine, thereby causing health issues.

They should be provided One Note Book of 100 perforated pages. At the end of the class/lesson this is detached from the book and stapled with the Text Sheet ready to be filed at home.
So 8 subjects a day with just 1 Writing Note Book.

All Text Books will be in Sheet format. Children will procure sheets of the lessons they need. So for 8 subjects, they carry maximum 8 Text sheets of the subjects as per Lesson being learnt in the class.

This one action by the education authorities will ensure no child carries more than 0.5 kg maximum to school.

E Challan

More than ever, RTO must have all Vehicle owners Mobile numbers on record.
Vehicles parked wrongly, or in No Parking Zones or obstructing traffic, should have their Vehicle numbers SMS'd to the given number.
Immediately a message is flashed to the vehicle owner of the issue and the clock starts.
Owner has the choice of clearing his vehicle immediately and record time until when the issue was on. Else he can pay it online at a later date/time.

With the installation of CCTV's, the much needed discipline has arrived.

What is now needed is to mark Zebra lines at all signal sections. Vehicles must not cross the Zebra line. If they do they are fined. Also pedestrians must be encouraged to cross at zebra lines only. Gradually we will be witness to better road sense.

Disproportionate Assets

Suspect's Assets should all be frozen, and given time for a year to prove this was all earned income.
If not it gets credited to the Government Treasury

Illegal Structures

It is not enough to speak of it, for it to come into real effect, there has to be adequate publicity, so that the general public are encouraged to report.

Hope we get to see the results in the days to come.

DP - 2034

The DP -2034 has become a very contentious issue. The better way to plan is
1.To look at all existing roads and see how best they can be straightened and widened based on the evaluation of every stretch
2. Identify Roads as Main/Sub/street/lane etc based on their importance.
3.To redraw the Roads where identified and to call for a Step back that ensures at any future redevelopment land is released for road widening.
4. To convert where possible dual lanes into one way streets, to ensure uni directional flow of vehicles.
5. To define the threshold for providing services: viz: Marketplace, Police Station, Schools, Hospitals, Post Office, Open spaces, Parks etc.
 6. To ensure roads and footpaths are free of encroachments.
7. Buildings that have their ground floors commercial must have an independent secure entrance for residential areas.

Farmers Suicide - A Solution

Here I write how we can together resolve the Farmer Suicide issue.

1. Let the Government declare what should be the earnings for a decent livelihood for the small Individual farmer.

2. Let the Central Ministry declare the stocks it will purchase from the States at declared rates.

3. Let the State in turn inform all Districts the Purchases from all small individual farmers at Central declared Prices. Payment made to Aadhar linked Card Account of the Farmer.

4. The Agricultural scientists will advice the farmer the best crops he should grow in the given farmland, and the number of cycles he can repeat. This with the rates calculated ensure he gets the total that sees him through the year, provided he delivers all advised crops.

5. This produce is handed to the Central Procurement. So no matter what, if the farmer tills his land as advised, he gets value for his produce, which sees him through the year.

6. It is only after all small farmers have handed their produce, that the medium scale, and the large scale farmers are considered for collection. After stocks needed to tide us through are stored in Godowns, the rest can be exported.

7. The rates given to the small farmer is different from that given to the bigger farmers.

This will ensure suicides never recur.

Children of the Dark

I did write on this earlier too, which I copy below
The street was clean and clear of all garbage. When dawn broke, a band of gypsies had descended on the lone street, pitching their tent, a little away from the drain which was used the days ahead for all ablutions. Toileting all over was a band of unruly children, carefree of worldly worries, no schooling just begging. The street was their oyster. Women who arrived seemingly single exposed to the vagaries of the night, were now expectant mothers.
Can we have a Law that makes it the responsibility of the local police under whose jurisdiction this street happens to ensure no one arrives from nowhere, and makes the street their home. They just need to be sent to the nearest beggar’s home. The men & women have to be skilled during their stay at the home based on their inclinations, and converted to useful members of society. Once skilled they have to be asked to return to their place of birth/origin and begin life anew. Else the City will forever be an overgrown slum, inviting more children to the dark...
