China offers to Finance 30% of India's Infra Development Plan

China offers to Finance 30% of India's Infra Development Plan.. pg 17, The Economic Times  20th Feb 2014.

Can we have a scheme where all the Black Money stashed overseas is brought back to the country to Finance our Infra development. Money has to be invested in Foreign Currency. Toll collection will be permitted for a given period. This will not only infuse much needed funds, but also get the money into white circulation.

Why only eye donations. All organs that can be harvested for the good of the living must be sought for.
The mourners must not be made to run around for this. A system should be put in place, that harvesting is done ASAP to make it a useful contribution for the living.

The better way to stop these Criminal acts is to enable the Department with Closed Circuit Cameras that record uninterrupted at a remote destination. At regular intervals they can be scanned for suspicious activities. Wrong doers identified and tried in a Fast Track Court and punished. Only this will bring Poaching, Felling and other Nature destroying activities to a grinding halt.

INDIA MAKES A POWER POINT

INDIA  MAKES  A  POWER  POINT.. Headline, The Times of India 5th Feb 2014

It is indeed a Proud moment for the Country. More importantly the significance of India taking Centre Stage on the Global platform. This validates our Education System. We should encourage all centres of learning, and not interfere with our 1st Class Institutions.

Gradation of all Schools is a must. I have been writing on this since 1971, and part of it can be read at below link

Sensex tumbles as China hits a Bump..

Sensex tumbles as China hits a Bump.. Headlines-The Economic Times 4th Feb 2014

Our Economic policies should be directed with the citizens in focus, beginning with advantages accruing to the local village economy, next to the District then the State and then the Country. Excess produce if any should then be directed to exports so that the producer does not loose in excess production. But the thrust of all policies have to be to better the life of the average Indian. This directive will ensure the economy sustains no matter what the external forces are. This will also strengthen our currency. The effect of all policies should be displayed at a site on a micro level and collating finally to the national level. This reflection will truly ensure that our policies are working for us.

What should Mumbai do to ease its traffic burden and improve its roads?

What should Mumbai do to ease its traffic burden and improve its roads?... The Times of India, pg 2, 3rd Feb 2014

To make Mumbai a livable city, I give my suggestions as below:

A responsible team should be created to study the roads of Mumbai and try and convert maximum number to one way streets. This one act will ensure a continuous unhindered flow of traffic.

Traceability in all work done. If a job is executed, we must know who has done it, who has inspected the job, who has approved the job and certified for use. Once accountability sets in we get our money’s worth on all expenditure.

Having traveled by Public transport(BEST bus) and Auto Rickshaws, today I like many citizens of this city have been gifted with back related issues.

This is mainly because of the constant shocks encountered in course of a journey to work or otherwise. Surely the spine is not designed for such shocks. I would appreciate if citizens are not loaded with health related issues caused by negligence of others in their sunset years.

My suggestion is to have one speed monitor gifted to the RTO.
They will choose their spot of observation. A team will capture the speed breaking vehicle and another team will stop the vehicle and immediately levy the fine for the offence. The first offence will be charged Rs 1000/- and every next offence will be charged at Rs 5000/-. The money so collected must strictly be used for procuring the next speed monitor.

At regular intervals one can read reports and complaints of Vehicles being parked wrongly.

The better way to bring to a halt all these inconveniences is to declare all streets up to 3 lanes to be Non Parking  at all times. This one act will ensure No Vehicles stay beyond a max. time limit of 2 minutes if needed to disembark a passenger/member of the vehicle.

All Vehicles should have their Owners Mobile Numbers registered with the R.T.O.
Policemen should cease to Tow Vehicles. Instead they should patrol a spot and send an SMS to the RTO Control Room. The Control Room in turn sends an SMS to the Vehicle Owner asking him to clear the vehicle immediately. The clock starts. The minute the Vehicle Owner or its driver approaches to clear the vehicle he meets the Policeman. The Policemen asks the Vehicle Owner or Driver to SMS the Control Room, and in turn gets the Fine amount displayed on the Vehicle owners Mobile. He either pays the amount and collects receipt on the spot, or has it debited to his account, which gets paid ASAP. The Policeman informs the RTO control room the time when the Vehicle has cleared the spot.

This will avoid all corruption, and ensure Road Discipline.

National Integration:..........

I have been writing on this the past 30 years.

I mentioned the same in my blog of Oct' 2011, which I now copy below:

Another of my favourite theme is National Integration in its truest sense. We all know that inspite of 45 years of independence we cannot think of ourselves as one Nation. One good way of integrating the population and causing cross-cultural relationship is by promulgating a law that requires 60% of all central government positions to be recruited from outside the state. These are to be represented in a fair proportion giving weightage to merit where needed. This representation is to be executed at every centre of Central government employment individually & not arrive at a collective figure for a state. This one act will cause a cross-cultural flow and appreciation, relegating divisive forces to the background.
Also since we are unable to abrogate Article 370, the next best alternative is to get all educated Kashmiri youth employed in various sectors of the country. Once they begin to integrate with the rest of the country then this animosity and all related problems will vanish. Another point, which is the cause of present dis-integration of society, is the caste factor. Is it not possible to design forms that do not carry one's caste or sub-caste. Suffice that for statistical purposes creed will serve. And nowhere during the entire lifetime of an individual should he be asked for these divisive data.
